“Before I embarked on this wonderful journey becoming a yoga teacher, I had many doubts, especially which school should I choose? Writing this on the week when I finish this 2-year yoga teacher training, I couldn’t be happier about my decision. YTI’s 2-year yoga teacher training has been a wonderful experience! I can’t say it was easy – it certainly wasn’t! So much work, studying and time had to be put into it but I can honestly say it was worth it. My amazing tutors, Marie and Elaine have a huge knowledge of yoga and its history and philosophy as well as anatomy & physiology. At the same time, they have been so kind and encouraging and strongly supported me and the whole group throughout this training.

YTI really focuses on making yoga accessible to everyone. So much was covered in the Anatomy & Physiology module – from the anatomy of the human body to various medical conditions yoga teachers may encounter in their students when teaching, and how to approach them. A pregnancy module was included as well. First Aid course and a Child Protection module were also included also which is great for those who want to teach children. In year two each training weekend we discussed each chakra in detail, worked on mudras, bandhas as well as beginner and advanced pranayama techniques. Basic and advanced yoga asanas were also broken down into parts, explaining safety points and what to watch out for when teaching those asanas. We also had a lot of workshops with other YTI teachers and they were truly amazing – all the teachers were so knowledgeable!

I also have to say it has been a wonderful spiritual journey for me. I will carry the YTI techniques that were taught to me for the rest of my life.

After the 2 year training, I feel confident to teach yoga to the public. I have taught in person and online so far, and it has been a great experience. YTI certainly prepared all of us for teaching both online and in public. I wouldn’t have done it without YTI. I highly recommend this school if you’re thinking of becoming a yoga teacher!”
