Introducing Marie Lennon
Marie did her initial Teacher Training with the Irish Yoga Association and qualified in 1994. She also went on to complete the Jenny Beeken Teacher Awareness Diploma Course between 1994 and 1996.
She has a Certificate in Basic First Aid and has also completed the Yoga Therapy Medical Foundation Course qualifying as a Yoga Therapist in 1999.
Between 1997 and 1999 Marie did further Short Intensive courses with the Yoga Therapy Centre on topics such as back pain, arthritis and respiratory conditions. These course involved Case Study work, anatomy and physiology of each condition and a written examination.
Marie teaches several Yoga classes per week, including classes for those who serve time in the Curragh Prison. Marie is also the representative for the Phoneix Prison Trust here in Ireland. She is very busy working with yoga as an effective therapy for common ailments. Marie has also presented workshops for the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Ireland and Young Parkinson’s of Ireland. She is also one of the current Course Facilitators on the YTI Yoga Teacher Training Course and Yoga Post Graduate Course.
