Introducing Helen Morrow
Helen has been teaching yoga since 1993 and she has been tutoring on the Yoga Therapy Ireland Teacher Training Course since 2000. She trained initially with the Irish Yoga Association and furthered her yoga skills and deepened her awareness through the Yoga of the Heart teacher awareness programme with Jenny Beeken from 1994 – 1996 with further studies with Jenny from 2000 –2002. Through her experience as a teacher, Helen enjoys the challenge of using Yoga to work with common ailments such as back pain, arthritis, stress and poor posture. Between 1997 and 1999 Helen successfully completed the Yoga Therapy Medical Foundation Course, receiving her qualification as a Yoga Therapist.
Helen holds an Arts Degree and has a Certificate in First Aid together with a Foundation Diploma in Counselling Skills from Maynooth College. Helen also holds a Train the Trainer certificate. Over the past years she has given several public talks on Yoga and how it helps medical conditions such as liver disorders and chronic pain. She works with the Stillorgan and District Cancer Support Group.
Helen has been Treasurer and an active member of the Yoga Therapy Ireland’s voluntary Committee helping to develop the yoga teacher training course and post graduate yoga course with her colleagues.
