Introducing Elma Toland
Elma qualified as a Yoga Teacher in 1994 through the Irish Yoga Association.
She has also completed the Yoga Therapy Medical Foundation Diploma Course and received her qualification as a Yoga Therapist in 1999.
Elma has also completed three Short Intensive Courses on Back Pain, Arthritis and Respiratory Conditions.
Elma serves on the voluntary Committee for Yoga Therapy Ireland as Education Officer. She also served on the Committee for the Kildare Irish PreSchools Playgroup Association as Secretary and also as Chairperson.
Elma holds a teaching diploma from the London Montessori Teacher Training College and ran her own playgroup for ten years. During that time she also tutored the IPPA Introductory Course to adults wishing to start their own playgroup.
At present Elma teaches a number of Yoga classes per week in the Leixlip area as well as a specialised Yoga class in the Rutland Addiction Centre. Together with Linda Southgate, she presented a Yoga workshop for the Midwives in the National Maternity Hospital, Dublin. They also organise and run a Yoga Holiday Weekend each year to Clonmany, Co. Donegal.
Currently Elma lends her vast experience as a Trainer and Facilitator to the Yoga Therapy Ireland Teacher Training Course and Post Graduate Course. Elma recently recently completed and now holds her Training the Trainer certificate.
