Val Herbert

Val is a tutor on the Yoga for Sports Course.

Originally from Dublin , now residing in Kildare. I first came to yoga and  stepped on to my mat at a time when I
needed yoga more than yoga needed me.  Yoga has given me more than I ever needed , I suppose , if I'm honest, it's why I still practice after all this
time. I am what you may call a nomadic yoga teacher, I'm usually found somewhere on the M4 on the way to teach a class. When I am not on the M4 ,
you can usually find me at the local Gaa Club or Soccer pitch, watching a game or training the local kids, as a former player this gives me great joy
and any excuse to talk about football and yoga or both. So it is only natural that I combine my interests into my yoga classes. I teach a variety of classes in various locations, Hatha, Dynamic Flow, Sports Yoga and Kids Yoga.  My classes are fun but challenging , I encourage my students to come out of their comfort zone, safely, using the space , awareness of the movement and sensations in the body , and using the breath. The breath is the practice.
